Note, In all our prayers, both for ourselves and for our children, we ought to have a particular eye to, and remembrance of, God’s promises to us and Note, In making settlements, it is good to take advice, and to provide for what may happen, while we cannot foresee what will happen. Our prudence must attend God’s providence. As for Job, I can picture this, now. Here his friends are throwing baseless accusations and Job has had it. He owns up to his life, not to leverage, not to boast, but to say to his friends, you are wrong, you have no truth to what you say and you are trying to make me bad so as to explain that which you are not understanding.
Can you imagine this youngster, now, realizing everyone else has been told, "talk to the hand," and they have responded with, "speechless dude." Here comes youngster to say, OK, now I have the floor. Ha! I can hardly wait to see what happens next. Luckily, we find out tomorrow.
I liked the message that age does not necessarily bring wisdom and understanding. Have you ever heard the expression old soul? I have met some children that are wiser than some adults could ever hope to be. Why is God's grace reflected more in some people than in others? It seems on the surface to have little to do with their faith or understanding of God.
