We have become so accustomed to hearing preachers or expositors, as important as that is, that many in the process have abandoned the grand privilege of personally hearing from God’s Word daily. - Ravi Zacharrias

Day 19- Genesis 41; Job 10-11; Psalm 4

As Matthew Henry points out -- here is the disposition of God's providence in Genesis 41.  As we proceed through Job we now understand that he is confused and repentant and his friends, fearing wrath, do not come to his aid, they condone his words.  Yep...par for the course.  Sometimes, friends can bring you down as much they sometimes can lift you up.

I do find interest in how the Psalm 4 ties it up today - as Matthew Henry points out
Let us not make the prophecy of scripture to be of more private interpretation than needs must
As we recall from earlier readings, we must learn God's way and then apply our life, not live life and then try to fit it into a mold that God would approve of.  A nice way to leave the evening as I move from here to debates on television - where they certainly are of the reverse from this lesson.
